My Bad...Missed that you said Bond Era.....In that aspect While I do not fully agree that they take from the Rolex design on that model as the faces while slightly similar in regards to the hour indices, but are totally different in regards to the fact Rolex does not even offer a blue dial in SS, The Wave Pattern, and the Boardered Date window, I can see the comparison. However I do think the New SMP's are closer to the Rolex Design than that of the Bond Era, due to the Migration to the Speedy/Oyster Esque bracelet, and the Offering of the black face and bolder markings on the outer bezel, just seems like they are trying to make their watch have more presence than the Sub visually, bigger markers, bolder font etc....
