Sure, the case is probably the same. But since the movements are not identical in size, there are other parts that have to be replaced that hold the movement into the case. In addition, you have to replace the DIAL. Yes, the dial. In case you hadn't noticed, the date window is not in the exact same location on the quartz versus the auto.

You ought to be able to trade up your quartz for the auto version for that much or less. And you will have a lot less risk, as you can see exactly what you are getting. Conversions are prone to hidden extra-expense surprises and problems if it doesn't work out as you expected. Plus Omega would likely refuse to service the watch as they could tell the watch was altered in an unauthorized manner.
