I see on a couple of forums with conflicting (or at least confusing) advise about watch winders. After ordering my fancy new Rapport 3 watch winder for my 3 Omega chronometers, I saw some forum entry say that watch winders can in the long run put unnesessary stress on a watch and wear parts prematurely.
What is the real deal on this? I'm getting this winder shipped from England and up until yesterday I was very excited about it. Now I'm a lil concerned. And those things ain't cheap. Am I gonna end up w/ an expensive storage/display box instead of an important collectors tool?
Any advise on watch winder brands?
Thanks in advance!
