: Two questions... (1) When should one stop
: screwing-in the crown and helium release
As you said, "moderate fingertip pressure" is just right. Unless you go out of your way, straining and adjusting your finger position for optimum grip, you should be fine.
(2) does anyone
: have this watch and can talk to how
: susceptible the bracelet and clasp are to
: scratches?
They're less susceptible to scratches than lower-quality watches are, but will show wear and scuffs. I batter mine mercilessly... working on my car, woodworking, or doing just about anything else. The only wear that I'm showing is on the bottom side of the bracelet; This is inevitable, but there are some things you can do to minimize it, like being careful how you rest your arm on the door of your car while driving with the window open (metal trim is no good for Omegas, nor Omegas for your car's paint job), and how you sit at your desk at work/dinner table at home. Most of my scuffs come from my desk at the office... sitting with my hands on the desk typing, shuffling, etc, is the major culprit. It doesn't bother me; to see that side of the bracelet, I have to twist my arm into some unnatural position.
