I agree !! My watch is not...

...a museum piece. It is a rugged sports watch, designed to withstand reasonably rough treatment. I occasionaly knock it, bang it, scrape it and once, even put it through the washer and dryer although admittedly, not on purpose.

Speaking for myself, my watch is meant to be worn. I do not place it every evening in the fancy red box. I lay it down on the bedside table in whatever position it basically happens to fall.

I do not concern myself with crown up, crown down, dial up, etc. If I notice its gained or lost some time, I correct it. If it gets dirty, I wash it. If the clasp gets scuffed, I might fix it, I might wait. My SMP was built like this for a reason, and I put it through its paces.
