: I have two questions for the experts: 1) What
: is the power reserve specification for this
: model?
Probably 35-40 hours. Would need to know the movement/calibre number (it is 3 or 4 digits) to look up the specifics.
: In these models, normally how many
: turns would fully wind up the watch?
20-30 should do.
: 2) There is no water resistance capability now
: as the crystal would fogged up after I came
: out of the rain a couple of days ago. What
: can be done so that it can at least
: withstand some casual water contact?
First, get it to a watchmaker IMMEDIATELY. The water that is in it now WILL RUIN the watch if not attended to fast.
Your watchmaker needs to replace the seals. While a vintage cannot really be made as water-resistant as it was when new, with new seals it should certainly survive a splash of rain.
