I currently have a 2 month old SMP automatic with black dial/bezel. I have the opportunity to trade it for a 1 year old SMP quartz with black dial/bezel, with a $100+ thrown in with it.
Here's me delima: I really like knowing I have an automatic watch on my wrist (why, I don't know), but I do. On the other side of the coin, I know a quartz is accurate, and will only cost me a battery every now and then, whereas an auto will begin to lose time as it ages, and cost more for service every 4-5 years? Also, I think in 10-20 years, the auto will have a higher resale value should I desire to sell.
So, how many of you guys would make the trade, or hold on to the auto? I know in the end it's my preference, but help and words of wisdom and insight are greatly appreciated. Thanks.....marc
