Luminox's actually are the Official watch of the Navy SEALs, and are issued to them. They were originally designed for their underwater and night operations, and a couple of years ago Luminox was also procured by the Air Force to design and supply Luminox watches to stealth bomber pilots. I also have family in the military, and Luminox's are extremely popular among all military branches and personnel. Not the high end models or anything, just the base vulcanized rubber model with the varying dial colors.
