In Response To: SMP 2531.80 vs. 2254.50 ()

Nice input,
but I don¢¥t think (well at least not me) the blk/blk owners are trying to distance themselves towards the "bond" owners.
I like the looks of the bond-model, but to me, it¢¥s too flashy. you could spot the bond model from a distance of 20 meters! Its very distinctive bracelet, blue-colour and shiny apperance makes it easy to recognize. :)
But with the blk/blk one, I find it more subtle and even from a distance of 2 meters, you actually cannot really tell whether it¢¥s an omega or not (at least I can¢¥t!)
The only indication of the blk/blk model being a seamaster, is to look out for the "big-triangular-twelve-marker", which is exceptional for this particular model.

I think this concept is a nice one - people would get more curious of what watch you¢¥re wearing, instead of getting struck by a lightning saying :
"ah, it¢¥s a blue-bond-watch!".
It¢¥s not that I¢¥m bragging or showing off my watch when I meet people, I never mention it in such way. But it¢¥s sometimes fun to observe the perplex facial expression of those who try to figure out what kinda watch is on my wrist. I can almost read their thoughts - "hm..is it a fake rolex"?
"is it a rolex"? .."maybe an omega?" "Nice watch, but what the heck is it?!"

And they rarely ask the owner. ;)

Cheers,
