When I had a problem with my Bond SMP (it wasn't winding), I didn't even bother sending it to Omega because of the problems I've heard and the long wait times associated with their service organization. When I called Omega, they said that they had absolutely no idea what could be wrong with my SMP, would give me absolutely no time frame as to how long it would take to repair, and just plain sounded rude. Upon further investigation as to alternatives, I sent my SMP to Eric Martin. He gave me a rough estimate over the phone, and his turn around time is 7 to 10 days!!! He replaced the broken part, completely overhauled it (upon my approval- he actually called me), checked the o-rings and replaced three, did a pressure test, and had it back to me in no time. Eric, however, is not an authorized dealer, but has been trained in Switzerland in 1974, worked for Rolex, then Omega/Tissot, and is now on his own. He has been a pleasure to deal with. On his website, he has a huge "Feedback" link in which he has posted various e-mails, forum posts, and letters that he has received from satisfied customers. I included his website below.
