: The Seamaster Professional that I is one that is after 1980. On the box it says Seamaster Automatic Chronometer 200M Significant Moments. I can not find any info on it. I thought it was a 2850 but it must be something else. Are there any other ways of telling what series this is?
There was a model 2850 Seamaster--it was from
: 1956 and was a special edition connected to
: the 1956 Olympics. It looks like a normal
: Seamaster dress watch, but likely has the
: Roman numeral XVI on the dial below the
: Seamaster name and somee inscriptions on the
: back.
: If that is what you have, then it is quite
: special. These were made of solid 18K gold
: cases. I understand many of these were
: pulled from dealers shelves after a dispute
: with the Olympic association over the use of
: the Olympic logo on the back. So the ones
: with the Olympic rings on the back are
: especially valuable.
: If it is in excellent to mint condition, it
: might be worth $1,500-2,700! Definitely
: worth getting it appraised by someone who
: deals in collectible timepieces.
