I've priced the 2296.80 in two cities, Bombay, India and Dubai, UAE. (I'm currently living in Bombay) and Id like a pricing reference. (Suggested Retail would be fine)
The local myth is that Dubai has the best prices on everything, including watches. It turns out that the initial offer price from the local Bombay merchant is nearly half that of the Dubai price, and nearly 30% less that the US based internet discount stores. (50% off retail?)
Can this be legit?
The local watch appears genuine. It is from an authorized dealer referred from the local Omega office. It has the international warranty card. It has all the papers, the box, etc. and supposedly is fresh stock, manufactured within the last 6 months. (I looked for the S/N, but couldn't read it-too small)
It checks out so far, but I'm going back to the shop for another look. Any suggestions on what to look/ask for?
BTW, I'm no expert, but have also inspected the local fakes, of which there are many, with their own quality levels. This one is real, the price just seems too low. If someone can pop back and say that 50-60% of list (and what list is) is reasonable, that'd be great.
