Hi Stephen
I have the same watch and have almost the same problem. My gains about a minute every week(mine is about 3 month old). I thought it needed to be "broken in" so I kept tracking of the seconds that I have gained everyday. But I gave up on doin' that. It just got outta hand. Also with the crown, I have to say that mine does make the same noises that yours make. However, I also have a Rolex GMT II and makes the same noises that my SMP makes everytime when I screw the crown back on, so do not be concerned with that too much. Personaly, right at this point, I am just tryin' to forget about the fact that mine is little faster and just tryin' to enjoy the watch.
Wish you all the best
regards from NY
: Hello,
: I have a chronometer - not even two months old
: - and every week I lose about 1 to 2
: minutes. Is that normal?
: Also, when I change the date or time... etc...
: and push the button (knob) back in, then
: begin to tighten -I hear and feel a rapid
: clicking - click, click, click, click - like
: it is fully wound or something - and as if a
: spring inside is going to break. I thought
: this watch doesn't need winding. I'm
: confused.
: Anyone with suggestions.
: Personally, I'm not happy with Omega watches.
: Not impressed with the quality for an 1800
: watch. Have had TAGs for half that price
: without a hitch.
