Im not posative, but I dont think that it is mechanically possible to overwind an automatic watch.
It has a built in rachet / clutch or or something that stops the spring being overwound by the auto winding mechanism. This works also for the winder IIRC.
I wouldnt worry, but while you are at your local dealer getting him to sort the regulation out (your watch is under 12 months, and I'd sure as hell get someone to look at that), show them your problem and see what they say. Perhaps there will be another model they can compare it with?
