: Since the bezel of the J. Bond watch is just aluminum, is it
: any better than that of the steel (chrome) bezel? Thanks in
: advance.
Your statement of 'just aluminum' implies that you think aluminum is inferior to steel. It is not. For many applications, aluminum is better that steel.
On the SMP bezel, the bezel is steel anyway -- what is different is the small cosmetic insert with the numbers, that's the part which is aluminum on some. For this purpose, aluminum or steel both work well for this simple part.
Frankly, I like the aluminum better. The steel insert is polished, and shows fingerprints and smudges easily. I had one for a couple of weeks and it drove me nuts keeping the bezel wiped clean.
