Hi Simon
I bought my Seamaster from an online dealer and got a good deal price-wise. It's true that there is no official Omega warranty, but fortunately there are honest online dealers. The watch I got had a malfunction - hands were not aligned. Fortunately all I had too do was return it too get a new perfect one. The dealer was World Watches (CA) and I am quite pleased with them. However I would prefer to have gotten a deal with the official local dealer, but they only wanted to talk list prices! Maybe next time I will buy from a local dealer - it feels safer I think.
