Scratch on Bracelet

I recently bought a Bond watch. The bracelet was adjusted twice in the watches shop. Each time, a small scratch was created on the edge face of the bracelet. Did anybody has the same experience? Any suggestion to avoid scratching the bracelet while doing the adjustment?
