: I’ve just gotten a new OMEGA Seamaster
: (2055.80) and have really enjoyed it. I’ve
: kept careful, but not obsessive, watch over
: its performance in the last week and see
: that it is working to COSC tolerances.
: It gains about 2 seconds during the 10-hour
: workday and I am wearing it about 15 hours a
: day. From my activity level, I know that it
: is staying fully wound.
: What’s interesting to me is that the watch is
: gaining everyday, no matter what position I
: store it in overnight. In fact, I cannot
: find a position that causes it to lose time.
: It will be very interesting to me to see
: what happens as the watch ages over the next
: month.
: Thanks,
: Jay
Jay,
I bought my titanium Seamaster Pro Chrono 300 5 mo. ago. Initially it ran +5 sec./day. As of today it has settled down to about +2 sec./day. I set it with the 6 o'clock facing up overnight. I'm curious to see if there will be any further changes. I've been scuba diving with it twice so far. I get a pretty accurate time hack from the U.S.Naval Obseratory direct phone line via DSN.
