Re: Omega Seamaster F300 Chronometer

Hi, Tobi

Just seen your posting. f300s are great watches - I love them! They are Omega's version of the old tuning fork Bulova Accutrons, invented by Max Hextel who left Bulova to go to Omega and develop his invention. They came in just before the quartz revolution and so only lasted a few years.

There are two excellent sites concerning Accutrons (and so also Omega f300s) which you may like to visit:

They are mostly not particularly valuable, though it depends on which model you have; there are usually several on eBay at any one time (search "Omega f300"). They should be regularly serviced by someone who knows how to deal with them; there's a skill in regulating them. There's an expert in England who looks after my f300s; I could find an expert in Germany, if you want me to.

I hope this helps. Keep your watch humming!

Derek
