Hi
I recently aquired an omega pocket watch, and am trying to research its history and get a rough idea of what it's worth. I've attatched a picture, and I have more pics of movement etc, email me if you want to see them. Below is all the information I have managed to gather about it so far - as you can see from the info I received from Omega, they are quite excited about it! I would be grateful for any enlightenment you could provide.
Description:
This very early Omega pocket watch is in good working order, the silver case size 5cm is in original condition it has some minor dents but all hinges are working fine, the dial is mint the hands are in perfect condition but i think the hour hand is from a half hunter , the movement no 1002976. Is clean and in good condition . Please see pictures
Info received from Omega:
we have now the following details from our archives :
OMEGA - gents' pocket watch
case N° 1'103'184
mvt N° 1'002'976
manual winding pocket watch movement of caliber 19''' HN
manufactured in January 17, 1895
delivery country = not available
This is therefore one of the very first models having the famous " manufacture " movement of calibre 19''', created for the first time .. in 1894 !
Though this is a very simple case, our OMEGA Museum might be very interested in obtaining this timepiece for display !
