I have been trying various computer synching and watching tools, but none of them showed enough consistancy to check watch that varies about 2 secs per day. I just synched my WinXP against time.nist.gov and I got back for 2 seconds false time. OK, I am in Croatia, Europe. This might tint my experience.
I compare my watch with alive GPS receiver that must be synched with at least 4 sattelites and in 3D mode. Since 3D mode (determines altitude) depends completely on internal watch in GPS receiver to be perfectly synched with the exact time, this is the most precisw wathc any one of us can have. Each GPS has 4 attomic clocks and is synched with control statoin on Earth. And GPS receiver then synches with these sattelites.
I do it in the morning and in the evening. Reason for two checks: watch will gain or loose different time if rested overnight in different positions. Even if you wear it 24 hours, you are not in the same position for the whole 24 hours, I would hope :)
