I bought a Mid Size Quartz around May of this year. My intent was to have this as a weekend beater... that would live in the home safe M-F, and then spring into action on Sat. Morning with NO FUSS.
I was wrong, dead wrong.
As it turned out, this watch has been getting more wrist time than my other watch (a 16 year old AK).
The Quartz is a tough watch that, with the exception of a battery change every three to five years, is really hassle free. I love it. THis watch does have a built in indicator of battery reserve. When battery needs to be changed the second hand jumps oddly (i think 2 seconds at a time), but only 30 times per minute, instead of 60.
Although this watch may have been owned for 2 years it might have sat at dealer's showcase for a week or a year. So, assume that you'll be changing battery within the next year or two.
I highly recommend it. Pick it up if the price is right. I bought mine from Auth. Dlr. for 900$.
GOod luck!
