Does anyone know when Omega started using sapphire crystals on their watches?
(Or eqvivalent scratchproof glass)
I have a ladies Omega Genève from about 1966-67 in 18k with a domed, facetted, sapphire crystal (according to the watchmaker).
The link below shows a watch with the same crystal I'm talking about (look at watch refno 0706)
Is this possible?
The crystal is not replaced according to the watchmaker.
