I took my Seamaster into the only authorized Omega dealer in Tallahassee. I've had the watch for a month and a half. I wear it every day and look at it probably twenty times. I took the watch to have a link taken out of the braclet because I wanted a more snug fit. The jeweler removed the link from the braclet. Three minutes after leaving the store and getting in my car, I looked down at my watch, and there was a scratch on the bezel that was not there before I went into the jewelry store. The only conclusion possible is that the jeweler slipped when removing the braclet link. I was extremely late for an important appointment when I left the store and did not have time to return.
What are my options as far as getting the bezel repaired now? Is an authorized dealer responsible for any damage caused to the watch while under their care? Can someone provide direction as to how best to proceed when I return to the store and alert them of their mistake and damage?
