Sorry, I meant 50% off list price (aproximatly). List is $2595. The end price with the additional 25% they're giving now brings the price down to $1293.75 with free shipping. That's actually a little better than a 50% discount.
Sure, authorized with an Omega warrantee would be nice, but the best you can probably do there would be about 35% off list. Besides, this is the 3rd Omega I've bought from Ashford. The 1st 2 are already out of warrantee without any problems. I'll take the extra $$$ in savings & take the chance that nothing will happen to the watch for the 1st 2 years :).
As a side note, my Speedy arrived yesterday in fine shape, but the box included NONE of the Omega papers. I called Ashford & they told me it was just missed because they are overloaded with orders due to the sale. The cusomer service rep checked with someone and then assured me that they would ship the correct paperwork & I would see it in about a week. Even with the sale (of Ashford, not the 25%) pending their customer support seems to be very good (as long as I receive the papers in a week as they promised :)).
