Seems pretty goofy for ANYONE to spend $1,500-1,750 and then FORGET WHERE! If she used a credit card, she should be able to check her billing statements.
But beyond that, what possible basis do you have for mistrusting the serial number and Omega's factory records? Do you have any reason at all to suspect someone is pulling a fake or scam on you? Or is this general paranoia that some mysterious something *might* be wrong?
