I recently asked Santa for an Automatic Seamaster Professional Diver (full size). I'm pretty excited about it, but I'm wondering if I should have asked for the quartz. If quartz is so accurate why go with the automatic? I guess the idea is you don't have to change a battery ever and deal with getting the watch repressurized and serviced each time. And I suppose an automatic watch is a more elegant and valued piece of machinery. Those are the factors behind my decision. But I have a quartz Heuer and the thing has been running perfectly for years with seriously high accuracy. I kind of like the accuracy and if I only have to replace the batter once every 3 or 4 years that is not bad. What do you people think?
