: I recently asked Santa for an Automatic Seamaster Professional
: Diver (full size). I'm pretty excited about it, but I'm
: wondering if I should have asked for the quartz. If quartz
: is so accurate why go with the automatic? I guess the idea
: is you don't have to change a battery ever and deal with
: getting the watch repressurized and serviced each time. And
: I suppose an automatic watch is a more elegant and valued
: piece of machinery. Those are the factors behind my
: decision. But I have a quartz Heuer and the thing has been
: running perfectly for years with seriously high accuracy. I
: kind of like the accuracy and if I only have to replace the
: batter once every 3 or 4 years that is not bad. What do you
: people think?
Get the automatic. I've owned mine for a little over two years now. It's an excellent time piece and will hold its value far better than that of an automatic. They're great watches and be prepared to get alot of compliments.
