I just received my used Seamaster Ti Chronograph Chronometer 2298.80 (I believe) and have a couple questions:
1. It's in really good shape but has some scratches on the case and on the bracelet. A while back, someone had recommended a Microlon sponge to remove small surface scratches (Omega dealer.REF. 502.500.0031). Is there some place on the web I can buy one?
2. The lume on the bezel is bright but the hour marker lumes on the watch face are very weak. What would cause this? Could this watch be an older production model? Is there any way to tell how old a Seamaster is? Do the lumes fade over time? Can they be re-lumed? Who can do it?
3. The diver's extension part of the Ti clasp is different from my 2 year old stainless 2541.80. The part that attaches to the bracelet on my stainless 2541.80 has a hole and a slot in it while the diver's extension part that attaches to teh bracelet on my Ti 2298.80 is solid. Is that normal for the Ti or is it an older style?
I'd appreciate any answers, partial answers, or any other thoughts and comments you guys can offer.
TIA,
rambo
