Perhaps you are correct. The bottom line here - as I see it - is that we are not talking about the taste difference in wine or the tonal quality of music. We are talking about telling time. And Omega makes a lot of very nice watches, many of which are QUARTZ, not automatic. Casio and Timex are not the only watchmakers that see the obvious utilitarian value of a quartz movement. Breitling and Omega both make a ton of quartz models.
