I agree with you, the Quartz is by far a superior watch from the time accuarcy point of view, but not everyone buys a watch to know the accurate time, so others have more passion for movements and how complex the watch runs and even the strange sound of the rotor when ity winds.
I think enough is said about that and after all the name of this site is chronocentric not quartzcentric so we should not upset the people here about it, but in my point of view it is all a marketing issue. So if people are happy with it and willing to pay for that, why not.
