I have a new X-33 (3291.50-no more shiny parts) on my wrist right now and it ticks and sings just like yours. I was a bit surprised by the singing light but given the brightness I'm not surprised. (I like jb's answer--seems reasonable.)
I hope you are enjoying yours even half as much as I am enjoying mine. It doesn't look like a classic "pilot's chronograph" but it is FAR more ergonomically appropriate for the cockpit than my Breitling. I can even pull the crown with my flight gloves on!
