: Does anyone know the differences in hardness
: with all these different materials: Gold,
: Stainless Steel, Titanium and Tritium?
In their PURE form, gold is extremely soft and tritium is a gas. Not even sure why you included tritium in that list unless we are playing a game of "one of these things is not like the others."
But I suspect that you are asking about the relative hardness of the metals as used for watch cases and bracelets. That is hard to get a correct comparison on, as you won't have access to the exact alloy mix and any hardening techniques used in the manufacture of these as watch components.
But in general, all serve about equally well as watch cases and bracelets. All can be scratched and damaged, yet there are ways a jeweler can polish or touch up all three about equally. I'm not sure any research you could do would give you any useful or accurate basis to discern a difference that would be meaningful or helpful.
