The warnings on the official websites are intended to accomplish several things.

Protect the authorized dealer networks by officially warning people off off other options.

Play the nasty game of denying warranty service to some customers based on internal problems in the watch distribution networks.

Discourage the sale of second-hand watches, hoping buyers will purchase brand new ones in fear of getting something fake or inauthentic from any other source.
