Hi all,
I just received my new [pre-owned] Seamaster Professional Chronograph in good old fashioned heavy stainless steel, and I love it. It's good to be back in the Omega shoes again. Of all the watches I have owned over the years, I always end up owning another Omega.
My question is regarding the serial number and service schedule. I emailed Omega and asked them for the production date so I could determine when the scheduled service would be due. I also asked Omega to tell me what dealer originally sold this particular watch. This is primarily for my own curiousity. However, I didn't realize until after I sent my email that Omega isn't providing this info anymore, right?
So if, in fact, Omega doesn't resond to my inquiry, can anyone give me an idea of a production date based on the serial number. The information is as follows:
Serial Number: 50014529
Model Number: 2599.80.00
By the way, just for grins & giggles, this particular Seamaster Chrono has the star stamped on the back of one of the lugs. How rare is that? I wonder if the star is still being used?
