The Omegamatic was Omega's venture into the the technology also known as Kinetic or AutoQuartz. Basically it is a quartz watch that recharges off a rotor-activated generator. So it resembles an automatic watch in that if worn regularly it keeps itself powered and running. A very clever solution!
