I'm on the fence here, SMP purchase?

I've owned the black dial SMP before and sold it because I worried about scratching it up, etc, as the cost of a bezel is Approx $110, and I read down below, the crystal is about $250 to replace.

I tend to be a one watch guy, and wear my watch 24/7; to the office, and around the home (painting, yard work, home repairs, etc), and I'am wondering how many SMP owners wear your SMP's as an everyday beater, or just wear it as an occasional casual/dress watch?
