I do not know what the production quantities are for the GMT, but it has only been available for a couple of years to date so it is more unusual than the SMP.
As to dial color, I prefer the white dial as you do. I do not care for the half and half bezel on the black dial GMT.
I read somewhere that the Omega GMT movement does not have the quickset feature as on the SMP. How does the date set on yours? Thanks for the reply. I like your taste in watches.
