Could anyone tell me why the GMT Seamaster doesn't need a helium escape valve, but can still dive to 300m? The valve is there (apparently) because in order to dive to such a depth one must go into a saturation chamber with a mixture of helium and O2, and so your watch needs to have equal pressure to that of its surrounding atmosphere(or something to that effect, basically so it doesn't blow up). So why doesn't the GMT model need this, or, is it unecessary on the non-GMT model?
