Leaking seamaster

Good Morning.
I just thought i`d let you know about my automatic large size SMP which is currently going through the workshops here in England.
Apparently due to my own fault, the helium escape valve allowed water into the watch(11 months old)
whilst I was DIVING at the unbelievable depth of 1.5 metres in my local pool.
Omega(swatch) deny any liability, though are prepared to rectify under warranty, so my call for a new replacement has gone unheard.
I called their head tech guy for his opinion, and he said they will leak through the valve if you play with it underwater or screw the crown in if it has water trapped under it, as you screw it in, water is forced past the seal.
I don`t know about you guys but in the UK instructions, it says that the helium valve is sealed when the crown is in or out.
So I guess it is a case of 300 metres my arse!
Anyone else had the same experience?
