Grandfather Omega

I just came across an omega watch previously owned by my grandfather. After a few minutes of searching i found this site, but i know nothing about watches. please excuse my simplicity, i will post a picture asap. It is probably from the 40's or 50's. It says 18K on the clasp of the bracelet and is yellow gold. The face says omega in the middle and tachymetre along the upper edge. There are three dials on the lower have of the face one to 60 in increments of 10. one dial to 12 in increments of 1. and one dial to 30 in increments of 5. It is round..dial on side with two buttons, one above and below. haha i really dont know how to describe a watch. There is nothing on the back - no serial or anything. please help me to describe it better or tell me what path i should take in trying to appraise the watches value and possibly have it fixed. thanks for your patience :)

Daniel
