: I am referring to the "Bond" style
: Chrono Diver 2599.80. Chronocentric's own
: news section states the model is due to be
: phased out (Basel 2002) - Please check - it
: may be your info is out of date?. I have
: also been in contact with Omega regarding
: the silver bezel chrono Diver 2598.80 which
: I originally wanted to buy only to find
: production had stopped and was told the
: 2599.80 "would continue for now" I
: have also had communication with Robert Jan
: Broer and he also expected the 2599.80 to be
: phased out following the introduction of the
: AC chrono. Likewise one of Omega dealers I
: dealt with expressed the view that the watch
: was likley to be phased out - please note
: none of these comments are about the 2531.80
: "Bond" watch. I have no info on
: that at all.
OK so there is a likely "end of line" for the
2598.80 2599.80 & 2598.20
Does this create a strength in the price - hence minimal discount possibilities - or does interest usually drop off - I'm not yet familiar with the watch collecting vibes.
Also would three variations normally be replaced in the long term with one "narrow option" item
ie. the AC Chronograph. This would surely minimise sales through lack of choice and price increase, although that could be justified by the enhanced movement etc.
