Thanks for the recent posting on deciphering the model numbers. That was extremely helpful. I have now decided to buy the Professional size diver but I am still undecided on quartz vs. automatic. This will be my primary watch which I will wear both casually and semiformally. I am very active and can be hard on a watch. At the same time, I have been very impressed with the action of an automatic watch and I feel if I am paying the money for a Swiss watch I should get "Swiss movement". The bottom line is how careful do you have to be with the automatic watches and will I be disappointed in the long run with a quartz, especially if I want to hand it down to my kids one of these days.
