In my experience 99% of the people that I regularly come into contact with never even notice what kind of watch I'm wearing. This surprised me, but I've come to love my stealth Rolex and Omegas. The only watch anyone ever noticed was a Fossil that I wore in Jr. High.
And, BTW, I agree that there are many, many folks out there who don't even think twice about wearing their Iron Man or G-shock with their business attire.
That said, I still tend to wear my stealth rolex (air king) when I'm suited up and my SMP when I'm wearing khakis or shorts. IMHO my Speedy Reduced is a fence sitter and I believe works well with either.
