In Response To: ...and another thing ()

Wow, I can't believe the response. Thanks to everyone who responded. I posted this identical message on Omega-Addict at about the exact same time and haven't had a single response!

One thing that I have tried done to help make up my mind is to go out on E-bay and purchase a cheap Swatch automatic. I am not extremely concerned about accuracy, though it is a trait that I desire in a wristwatch. I put my Timex Indiglo up against the atomic clock hanging in my bathroom two months ago and it's now about three seconds off, so how is that for quartz accuracy? Also, just about every clock in my house is in about 2 or 3 minutes of each other, so I always generally know about what time it is, which is what a mechanical watch does; gives you generally what time it is.
My main thing was about having to wear it daily to keep it wound. I don't travel except for leisure, and always wear my trusty Casio Quartz divers multifunction watch when I do go diving. The only problem there is that the cheap watch bands that I buy for that watch had cheap clasps that get eaten up by the salt water and my watch has actually fallen off (and thank God that hasn’t happened in more than 40ft of water). I guess I’ll just keep reading the responses that come in and when I receive the Swatch Auto and wear it for awhile I’ll get a better idea of what is most important in my upcoming purchase.
