I prefer the blue color on the 2531.80 or the 2551.80, but wouldn't mind also owning a black one if I had the money. I currently own the smp 007 le and love it. I think the blue dial looks sharp with my dress shirts and sporty with short sleeves. I ran into someone who was thin, about 5'7" and was wearing the 2551.80. The size of the watch looked good on him.
It all comes down to personal preference. I think you will be happy with either the blue or the black. Have your wife, girlfriend or significant other go with you to the shop and help pick it out.
