I'm 5.8' tall & skinny. I decide to choose auto version over quartz because i heard auto watch has a longer life span, even though it costs a little bit more. A guy said that his SMP auto watch service only one time after more than 10-15 years of usage. Wow!
Another thing concern me is the battery. I'm not sure the omega battery will still be available in the next 20 or 30 years. I don't want to take such a risk by paying so much $ on a watch. This omega watch is going to be the most expensive watches I've bought so far. I'm going to wear this watch for a long long time.
Actually I'm not so much concern about the accuracy of the watch, as long as the watch is within +/- 1 minute a year is totally acceptable to me.
: I have the same dilema + the usual auto vs.
: quartz question.
: My wrist is 6.11 inch but I am 6.1' tall. My
: current watch is 40mm at fits well.
: What made you choose the auto version over the
: quartz?
