You may want to investigate the accuracy issue a bit more. The automatic SMP is a chronometer, which means that its movement has been measured at between -4 and +6 seconds per day on average. In theory, a watch operating within those tolerances could be as much as 24 minutes slow or 36 minutes fast by the end of a year. Nearly everyone manages to get those figures down to something closer to zero by leaving the watch in different overnight positions but it's something of which you should be aware.
