: Rich, unless you are counting down to the end
: of the world (do you know something the rest
: of us don't?), there is no need to have the
: chrono running all the time. And yes, the
: watch works that much harder when the
: stopwatch is running and, as such, the watch
: MAY require servicing at more frequent
: intervals. It won't damage the watch, but it
: will bring the watch's first service around
: that much sooner. It is similar in principle
: to a quartz chronograph where, if you leave
: the stopwatch running all the time, the
: battery will go flat sooner rather than
: later.
: The chrono should be used only when necessary,
: for those times when every second counts.
: Such as when you want to time the quickest
: and most direct route to your mother's house
: in heavy traffic. I did that once.
: Forty-four minutes, if you must know. Or
: when you see somebody on the street that you
: would rather avoid, but too late, they've
: spotted you. You can discreetly hit the
: start button and say to yourself: "I'm
: giving this loser three minutes only!"
: The AC Chrono is a great watch, Rich. I envy
: you. Enjoy it.
