Hey, Goeri. I prefer the 35mm Automatic with black dial on bracelet. When I first saw it, I thought to myself; "Man, I have never seen such a glossy black dial. That's the one."
And I will probably still get myself an old Rolex DateJust from the 70's one day. I will just make sure that it has a silver dial so I don't get it confused with my Aqua Terra. There is nothing wrong with buying similar looking watches. As long as YOU can tell the difference, then everybody else can go to hell. After all, you paid for the watch. Besides, if you get sick of the Rolex, you can always sell it. There's always someone out there willing to buy one.
I have a list of about six watches that I would like to have. This list changes slightly every few months, but there are some watches that are always on this list. These watches are the ones that I know I must have. What I'm trying to say, Goeri, is this; If there is a watch that you want, but are not 100% certain of, then just wait 2 or 3 months. If you still feel strongly about it, then buy it. Simple as that.
Good luck whichever way you choose.
